I already have a consultant. Why do I need the Guide?

Not all consultants are up to par when it comes to effectively filing SR&ED claims. Having the Guide is an excellent way to make sure the person you’re giving a percentage of your claim to knows what he or she is talking about.

Why should I pay for SR&ED knowledge when the CRA has free sessions?

Training with the Canada Revenue Agency provides general guidelines. It does not provide information on how to write clearly for your target audience, templates to walk you through each process involved, nor insider tips on how to deal with CRA disputes. The Guide goes much deeper than free resources.

Wow! Isn’t this a bit expensive?

If it was a book – absolutely! However, the Comprehensive Guide to SR&ED is an interactive, online learning resource that is updated constantly. It’s also much more affordable than:

• Hiring an external consultant. The Guide lessens the necessity for you to give a percentage of your refund to a consultant.
• Hiring an unqualified “SR&ED Manager.” Wouldn’t you like to know if your next hire really knows SR&ED? Quiz them using our guide to see if they pass muster.
• Learning by trial and error. One simple mistake—such as using a CRA red flag word or missing a crucial aspect of internal documentation—can and will cause you to miss out on thousands of dollars.
• Professional development costs. Full-day workshops run upwards of $2,500-7,500, depending on the qualifications of the presenters.

Can I have a free trial?

We don’t offer trial memberships, though we do have a Free level and include short excerpts at the outset of each chapter. A full year of access is less than an hour with most mid-tier consultants.

Can I cancel my account at any time?

Yes. If you ever decide that SREDucation isn’t the best source of SR&ED information for your business, simply cancel your account from your control panel and it won’t renew next year.

Can I change my membership level later on?

Absolutely! You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time.
