The Fastest Growing Companies in Ottawa 2023 Event
On June 20, 2023, GGFL Chartered Professional Accountants and the Eastern Ontario Business Journal hosted the 2023 Fastest Growing Companies: Awards Cocktail and Networking Event at The Collaboration Centre (TCC) in Ottawa, ON.
The Fastest Growing Companies Award is a unique opportunity for local Eastern Ontario enterprises to be recognized for substantial, sustainable and profitable growth, and the event also included workshops and panels on topics related to business growth. Our very own SR&ED Education and Resources’ founder Elizabeth Lance, was among six other panellists who were selected to speak at the event.

Yesterday’s awards reception began with a workshop for fast growing companies. Many thanks to BDC’s Robert Shaw and Tara Parry, and Elizabeth Lance, MA, MASC of the Ingenuity Group, for sharing their expertise on growth capital, the Canadian Digital Adoption Program and SR&ED.1

Elizabeth spoke as part of the first panel discussing how to fund growth in your business:

In 2008, Elizabeth co-founded The InGenuity Group, contributing as a technical writer for the business. Eleven years later, she took over the company after the retirement of her co-founder, becoming the Managing Director. In 2011, after seeing the need for a high-quality educational resource regarding the Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) Tax Incentive Program, she created SR&ED Education and Resources.
The SR&ED program is the largest single source of federal government support designed to encourage research and development (R&D) in Canada. This program can be extremely helpful to companies, allowing them to fund the scientific and technological advances that keep their company competitive.
